New Globonder - Milla Mathias
Milla
Mathias, based in São Paulo, is one of Brazil’s foremost
authorities on personal style as a key way to enhance
psychological well being and total health, for women but
also for men. Her personality and lifestyle exemplify
the central role of individualized style expression as a
vital life source of meaning and empowerment – resulting
in the highest level of attainment of personal,
professional and relationship success.
In a country and culture renowned for the attractiveness
of its women, in both pressure and performance, Milla’s
mission is to do personal styling in order to make
people feel genuinely positive and loving about
themselves. When she reaches her goal of her own
television show, she envisions being able to share
information and inspiration regarding the fascinatingly
beautiful things and places that increase people’s self
esteem and self confidence.
Milla’s personal style work consists of individual
coaching, group training, and mass media speaking and
writing. She focuses mainly on Brazilian women as
clients, many in business and professions, who need
advice on style upgrading and self-esteem boosting. She
also works with foreign women in Brazil, many the wives
of expatriate executives, who can benefit from
sharpening their style edge when surrounded by exquisite
Brazilian women. Her future work will increasingly focus
on men and style-conscious people worldwide.
Milla’s initial career was as a lawyer. She graduated
her university with a master’s degree in Law. She had
also taken several courses in image consulting. Her
lawyer role enabled her to speak in public without fear,
and her style expertise taught her what she needed to
know to grow into a personal stylist.
Milla’s character and dream of being a style expert
emerged during her thirties when she became thin enough
to wear whatever she wanted and generated the
self-confidence to express herself in grooming, attire
and general behavior. She had to leave the legal field,
with its heavy and masculine aspects and incompatible
with her newly discovered inner-self. The main reason
for her growing reputation and success as a personal
stylist is because she overcame her weight burden. She
lost the weight because her energy shifted, which was so
powerful that she transformed into an actualizing person
– one who loves her life, her work, and the people
around her. Now she feels that nothing is impossible for
her to attain.
After several years as a personal stylist, she has made
a great impact on Brazilian people through her regular
television appearances, and magazine and newspaper
articles, either interview or with her as author.
In the fall of 2009, her Portuguese-version book on
personal styling was published. It is about how to be
fully feminine while having masculine-related power.
With workshops, speeches and book-signing events, she is
spreading the book’s upbeat message throughout Brazil.
An English-version of her book and a speaking tour of
the United States are planned for 2010.
Milla truly lives a passionate life. She loves to
travel, meet new and interesting people, search her
soul, dance, walk her dog, learn new things, develop new
professional ideas, and help others to discover and
embark on their true paths. |
